Meet Christopher Smith
I’m an experienced finance journalist working for DCL, a small UK-based financial services website. I have over a decade of experience in the UK finance sector, and I’ve enjoyed the ups and downs of such a fast-changing but surprisingly exciting industry.
I’ve held several prominent roles in the finance industry, including financial analyst for a leading bank and investment adviser for a boutique investment firm.
I’ve also worked as a personal finance columnist for a national newspaper and have contributed to several well-known digital publications.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to simplify complicated financial jargon. I’m good at breaking down complex financial topics into easy-to-understand language, making finance accessible to many readers.
I attended The London School Of Economics, where I obtained degrees in finance and economics, respectively. This educational background has given me a unique perspective on the financial world and contributed to my early journalistic success.
Outside of work, I’m actively involved in charitable work. I frequently volunteer at a local homeless shelter and have worked on community projects in my spare time.
I’m married to my college sweetheart, Emily, and together we have two children, a daughter named Lily and a son named Max. We also have a lovable dog named Bailey.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking and playing golf and am an avid reader and enjoy attending cultural events in my local area.
My extensive experience and solid writing skills hopefully make me an asset to DCL’s mission of making finance accessible to everyone.
